I had totally forgotten I had set the third Kevin book to a Kindle Countdown this week. Anyway it is the third book in the Kevin series. Maybe I will get back to that series soon. 99 cents is as good as it is going to get. So get it now.
In other news Kevin and the Seven Lions is free on Nook and Kobo. I still can’t get the Amazon to price match. You could help by click on the Find a Lower Price Link, and then linking the Nook or Kobo link. (Apple is taking it’s sweet Molasses time in putting the book up on iTunes. You know. Because. Apple.)
I am trying to get Kevin and the Seven Lions go perma-free on Amazon. It’s a strategy that seems to work for a lot of people. And the book long since made a profit on what I put into it. (The others, well that’s a different story.) By doing that it would be the plan that hope the sales on the sequels would increase.
So if anyone here can let Amazon know that the book is free on the other sites that would be a great help.
If you’re a writer and have tried the perma free approach, please share you experience in the comment section.
I looked through my info and I realized that the third Kevin book had never been released free. And since it only had 2 reviews on Amazons, I thought I would give it a try. Ironically it has more reviews on Goodreads.
P.S. If you have the book leaving a review on Amazon would be greatly helpful and appreciated.
As most people in this business know that the algorithms for free books are less than automatically supportive to transferring a book to sales. I am letting this go free in hopes of generating more reviews. So please pick it up, and if you have read it, please take a few minutes and leave a review.

Oh, don’t leave yet.

I have written before about why teachers should write more books. I had another experience today, that I wished I could share with others.
I presented to my class a couple of copies of Kevin and the Triple Creature today. I had several students who were particularly asking me to be the first to read them when they would be ready. I learned to predetermine who would get the books first. I almost had a, let’s call it an “aggressive disagreement” between students, when I dropped off copies of Kevin and the Three-Headed Alien. Lesson learned.
You could get picky and say that phrase didn’t come from the above scene. You could.
(Aggressive disagreements are similar to aggressive negotiations that Jedi’s have. Just minus the lightsabers.)
How many other writers can say they had to stop an “aggressive disagreement” over being the first to read their books?
Today my two students brought their copies of the book with them to lunch. They read them while walking to lunch.
Those copies came from this box.
I wish you could experience that.
This is why teachers need to write books. I have so many teachers tell me they want to write a book. If you could experience this, you would be motivated finish that book. Students will be impressed that you wrote a book. They will be motivated to write like you. They will send you their books for you to review.
Teachers, write your books.
I disappeared from this blog for awhile. Been busy getting the new book ready and school work is getting busy.
Anyway the third Kevin book is now ready. It is around 12,000 words and is formatted as an early chapter book for 2 through 4 grade readers. It continues the story from Kevin and the Three-Headed Alien.

The original book Kevin and the Seven Lions is now also available as an audiobook on Amazon, Audible and iTunes.
I want to blog about that experience as well. That was a great and interesting experience. Don’t know if sales will justify making others but we’ll see.
Here is a new illustration from “Kevin and the Triple Creature Feature”. I always get excited at this point in the process. Never mind I have a lot of work to do before it is truly finished.
Why yes. That is a dragon.
I have sent out the new Kevin book to betareaders. So I am trying something new. Posting a full book on Wattpad. It does not have illustrations, as the final copy will have, and it hasn’t taken beta readers edits into account. But if you want to make suggestions or take a preview, it is up on Wattpad.
